Alongside the patio, we incorporated railway sleeper raised beds to introduce planting opportunities and add structure. Prices for these typically range from GBP 85 to GBP 140 per linear metre, depending on the grade and installation details. These beds maximise planting area without taking up too much room and offer a rustic but durable edge to the new patio.
Turfing was not part of this particular project due to the focus on creating hard landscaping and planting zones; however, when needed, turfing costs between GBP 18 and GBP 35 per square metre, assuming the ground is prepared. Any initial clearance, levelling, or topsoil work would be charged separately as required.
I recommend a 3D garden design at the planning stage to help visualise the transformation accurately. This service costs between GBP 150 and GBP 450, depending on garden size and complexity.
